Studying the brown bear in Siberia was a great adventure. I loved the vast mountain ranges with the never-ending wilderness. I saw many bears, from tiny cubs to monsters; bear dens; white phase gyrfalcons; snowy owls; strutting ptarmigan; wolverines; arctic hares; and tracks of the Siberian lynx. The most impressive sights were the huge Siberian brown bears running through the snow.
